The Location

The site for the Muchea Livestock Centre is a former grazing property made up of 300ha of cleared farm land, wooded and revegetated areas located on Muchea Road East 1.2kms from the junction of the Brand & Great Northern Highways. It is approximately 35 kilometers north of the current saleyard site and forms the top end of the Muchea Industrial node.

The site was selected due to it proximity to the major highways (65% of Midlands current throughput pass by this point), the buffers provided by surrounding land use (poultry farming, proposed industrial node, clay mining & the RAAF base) and its size which provides the opportunity for additional livestock services.
